Trekking in Nepal

Who We Are

Nepal’s Most Trusted Trekking Publication

TrekkHabar — meaning “Trek News” in Nepali — was founded by a group of passionate Nepali trekkers, journalists, and mountain guides who believed that authentic, on-the-ground trekking information deserved a dedicated platform.

Since our launch, we’ve published hundreds of in-depth trail guides, permit updates, gear reviews, and travel stories — all written by people who have actually walked the routes they write about.

What Drives Us

Our Core Values

Everything we publish is guided by these principles.

Accuracy First

We verify every trail condition, permit fee, and route detail before publishing. Our readers rely on us for life-or-death decisions on the mountain — we take that seriously.

Local Knowledge

Our team lives and breathes Nepal. We’re not travel bloggers passing through — we’re locals with deep roots in the communities and landscapes we write about.

Responsible Travel

We advocate for low-impact trekking, fair wages for porters and guides, and the preservation of Nepal’s fragile ecosystems and indigenous cultures.

Community Driven

Our best content comes from our readers. We celebrate stories from trekkers of all backgrounds and experience levels — from first-timers to seasoned mountaineers.
